Q-Redew Handheld Steamer ~ REFRESH 1st Impression! ~ Volume II

Calling All Naturals w/ Curls, Coils & Kinks

I am back with another review from my new hair toy the Q-Redew! As I stated in the last review this tool can be used in various ways providing vast amounts of benefits. The first time I shared my experience I used this tool during my deep condition treatment to give it a powerful boost… you can check that blog post along with a detailed breakdown out here. Now I am setting my sights on using this tool to refresh my dry, shrunken and tired curls! I couldn’t wait to see if this tool could pass the test and bring my curls back to life!

Although I provided a detailed explanation of what this tool could do and the many benefits in the last blog post it would be my pleasure to give you a refresher course. This tool retails for $69.95 and can be used on wet and dry hair. I mean who doesn’t want a personal handheld steamer to take with you wherever the wind blows you? The handheld steamer can be used alone or with products to further enhance your beautiful curls, coils and kinks. The Q-Redew was designed with convenience in mind by quickly and naturally rejuvenate, enhance, hydrate, add moisture, detangle, stretch the hair and more. The Q-Redew can infuse the right amount of steam to safely manipulate the hair. How well did it manipulate my hair and bring it back to life? Let me share!

So, today is NOT wash day and I plan to refresh my hair after sleeping on it and it getting all smashed without re-wetting it with water. Upon finishing my shower I only lightly add  a few sprays of my DIY refresher spray as my leave in. I then proceeded to add my distilled water into the reservoir and plug in my Q-Redew. As soon as the red light stops blinking it was time for me to rock in roll! I proceed to begin steaming my hair in sections all over while detangling in the process. Wow – only after 1 minute of steaming I noticed my tight fragile curls began to stretch and loosen. If anyone has tight 3c/4a curls you know exactly what I mean by achieving any level of length and stretch ability. A few minutes later my curls were back and feeling super soft and moisturized! Now while steaming my hair  I would like to notate my hair did not get wet only stretched out and pliable. When I was done steaming my results were very clear. You want to know?

FINAL THOUGHTS: Wow! I had one big happy curly fro – lol! I was pretty amazed how well my hair softened and relaxed bringing my tight curls back to life with this tool without re-wetting my hair. My curls were left stretched out, detangled, soft, moisturized, and completely rejuvenated. I felt like my hair had gone to the spa and back without the recurring high charge. This tool not only left my curls happy but ready to drink up any hair products headed its way! After I was completely done I then proceeded to add only my hair moisturizer and oil to seal all the moisture in. I wasn’t going anywhere today so I did NOT use any styling product as it was a SLAP cap day. 😉 I am 2 for 2 now with my Q-Redew reviews. I highly recommend this product and I will continue to play around with this tool to provide any additional insight. For now know that this tool is A-M-A-Z-I-N-G! Go get you one – what you waiting on? Until the next review ~ Chow! ♥
