I was so excited when I went to the Shea Moisture section of the Ulta store in my area to find there were some new lines and goodies ready for me to divulge in! My hair seems to absolutely love SM products and specifically their hair masques. So when I saw a NEW hair masque from their Sacha Inchi Oil Omega 3, 6, 9 Rescue + Repair line I sure did grab it quick as it was the last one. I don’t know how you go about selecting a new line to try but I always prefer to try their hair masques first and go from there. Naturals often ask me what’s your secret as your hair always looks so moisturized number 1. it’s not a secret and number 2. I actually moisturize my hair (lol) and I NEVER skip deep conditioning. I am telling you a war could be going on outside and if I got access to my DC and it’s wash day it is going down! What’s my point… DC is highly important in any naturals regimen. Now as far as which ones you should use – that’s the fun task as you get to decide that part! As far as today it is time to decide whether this DC is for me or not and how well it stacks up to so many of the favorites out there. Let the DC begin!

I am always amazed at how often SM seems to put out new and innovative products. I love it as I am now about to test out yet another SM masque. First, here is some additional information and stats you may find helpful as you decide if you want to give this masque a try. The Omega 369 masque retails for $12.99 for 12. fl. oz. jar which I purchased from Ulta. This masque was designed to nourish + rebuild damaged and distressed hair. Sound like you? Then keep reading. This intensive treatment has a vast range of ingredients including but not limited to Sacha Inchi Oil, Quinoa & Rose of Jericho Extracts. As always this masque is sulfate and color safe. If you are looking for a masque that will restore your hairs elasticity, reverse dryness, reduce breakage while preventing further damage this masque claims to do all of that. I love these rich and nourishing ingredients. Did I find these claims valid?

As wash day is under way I am at the step where I am ready and in need of effective DC! As I open the jar up oh la la la… a sweet airy yet slightly perfume smell reached my nostrils. YASSS was all I could think of, lol! I love the smell and kept sniffing the masque for a good minute or so to try to figure out the best words to describe it: sweet aroma. This masque was super thick and felt very moisturizing to the touch with a mild amount of slip. I absolutely had no problems raking this product lightly throughout my hair as it melted and felt just like butter. I could no doubt feel every bit of the various oils infused in this product unlike the other SM masques which I loved. I was highly impressed already before this masque had a chance to marinate and penetrate some. I only managed to use very little as like the other SM masque a little goes a long way. I made sure to effectively coat my hair and that no strand got left behind. I then grabbed my shower cap along with my heating cap and let the masque sit for about 35 minutes. Did it whip my hair back into much needed shape? Was it all that and then some? I got your answers!

FINAL THOUGHTS: Ladies, YES!! This masque no doubt shot up way past all the others! Say what? – yes!  Now don’t get me wrong the other SM masques all serve a great purpose and will always manage to stay in rotation but this masque right here… was AMAZING! My hair was left super soft, defined, supple, detangled, plump juicy curls, elongated, full of moisture, shiny, & amazing body… my hair was distressed no more! This masque honestly did way more than it claimed it would do for my thirsty coils and for that I can’t say thank you enough. When I rinsed this product out O-M-G the moisture left behind was just awesome. It felt like the masque was still completely in my hair but I know I had rinsed it all out. The sweet aroma smell did linger which was a huge plus for me. This masque brought my hair back to life and all I can say is bravo to Shea Moisture yet again! This masque will get added to the rotation as I like to switch up my masques often. I would highly recommend you giving this masque a try. In the grand scheme of things this is a small price to pay for a product that packs such a powerful punch. She (my hair) is very selective but today she selected this masque to STAY! I hope this review was insightful and I know with continued use it will only get better and better for my curls. Now what product should I try next from this line? Thank you for flipping through the pages of my journey! Until the next page… chow! ♥

Yay!!! Next products you should try from this line is the Sacha Inchi Twist & Loc gel and the Smoothie. I guess you might as well try the shampoo too.
